Mark received his Real Estate License in October of 1984, passing the exam on his first attempt.  At that point in time, he was working for a prominent San Antonio homebuilder, learning the trade from the ground up.  He was also working for his Father, a for fee independent appraiser who had retired after 35 years of service as Chief Underwriter for the Department of Housing & Urban Development.  Mark is the third generation of Wood's to be in Real Estate.  His grandfather was the driving force behind Wood Realty in Salina, Kansas in the mid 1900's.

During your first years in Real Estate, agents are required to take many relavent courses to continue their license. Mark chose to do this locally at San Antonio College, studying under Dr. Rosenauer, earning his Associates Degree in Real Estate/Management.

During the recession in the latter '80's, Mark continued in his profession by working with Mid-State Trust, a company that financed wood-frame constructed houses across the Southern US.  Responsibilities included Abstract of Title, appraisals on proposed properties, collection of payments, taxes and insurance, and overseeing foreclosures and sales of foreclosed properties.

When the market turned around in '91, Mark went to work with another prominent San Antonio builder doing onsite sales.  His dedication here won him numerous production awards.

Mark was then offered a position overseas to help in sites and acquisitions for a large worldwide company. Naturally, he couldn't refuse.

After returning from England, he obtained his Broker's license and started back in general Real Estate.  He also partnered up in buying and redoing properties and eventually created McIntyreWood Construction L.L.C..

He was also instrumental in helping another prominent San Antonio builder create a very successful Build On Your Lot program.  He also helped other builders market and sell their properties in San Antonio and surrounding areas, including the Texas Hill Country.

Mark started his own company, Wood Realty and Associates, in May of 2003 and is determined to establish a successful and reliable Real Estate Company that cares about it's clients.
